Janus Vignette
Janus Vignette was inspired by the concept of “Jamuary,” a creative challenge where artists come up with a musical idea every day during the month of January. Traditionally, these ideas serve as sketches to be developed later, but Milbank Drive took the challenge further. Each day in January 2023, he composed, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered a complete piece, one per day, no exceptions.
The tracklist corresponds to the day each idea was born and completed, offering a musical snapshot of the artist’s thoughts and emotions during that month. The songs are intentionally concise, capturing a momentary feeling or idea, sometimes fleeting, sometimes more resonant.
Janus Vignette stands as a testament to the creative process on a deadline and the discipline of finishing what you start.

Milbank Drive's fourth release was recorded at Street Level Sonics in Williamsburg, Virginia. Brahma Muhurta will be released on March 10th, 2023.
